Send a Digital Case

Open STL files, 3Shape Communicate, Medit Link, WeTransfer or email - here is exactly what to send, where to send it, and what you will hear back from us.

Accepted formats and platforms

We work with open exports - STL, PLY and OBJ - from all major intraoral scanners, and accept orders through 3Shape Communicate and Medit Link. Native exocad and 3Shape design files are accepted too. If your system is unusual, ask us before the first submission and we will confirm the path.

Submission channels

3Shape Communicate or Medit Link orders, WeTransfer or cloud links, or direct email to our digital case address. Shared links should include an expiry; our intake confirms every download explicitly.

File naming and structure

One folder per case: case number and patient code (a case number is enough - patient names are not required), containing scans, the RX form and reference photos. Clear naming prevents the single most common workflow failure: the wrong version being milled.

What we confirm after receiving your case

Completeness of the data (scans, RX, bite, references), scan usability and margin visibility, component and library match for implant cases, and any assumptions we will work under. You get this confirmation in writing before production starts - and before the production clock starts.

Privacy by design

Use case numbers instead of patient names wherever possible. Files travel over encrypted channels, stored on access-controlled systems, and are handled only by authorised case staff. We sign data processing agreements and NDAs on request.

Checklist

  • Scans: prepared arch, opposing arch, bite (STL/PLY/OBJ or platform order)
  • Rx form: restoration type, material, shade, margin design, contact preferences
  • Implant cases: system, platform, scan body brand/model, component preference
  • Reference photos with shade tab for aesthetic zones
  • Case folder named with case number + patient code

Frequently asked questions

How quickly do you confirm a digital case?
Intake confirmation happens the working day your files arrive: completeness, scan usability and (for implants) component match. Production time starts counting from that confirmation.
Can you design only, or produce only, if we prefer to split the workflow?
Yes - design-only, production-only and full-service are all available. Tell us which parts you keep in-house and the workflow is configured around them.
